Your TPMS Light Helps Avoid Tire Blowouts

Your vehicle is highly sophisticated so it makes sense that it should be able to tell you if you have a flat tire, right? That is why we here at Michael Tom’s Vigo Dodge, Inc. of Terre Haute want to be sure you know all about a light on your dash designed to do just that.

The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) light on your vehicles dash comes on when it detects a sudden loss in pressure from one or multiple tires on your vehicle. While this does not mean that a blowout is imminent, it does mean that your chances of a blowout are significantly higher. You should either pull over to the side of the road to seek assistance or get to the nearest gas station or service center to inspect the issue for yourself.

If you would like a trained professional to further explain how this light works or are looking for any kind of service to be performed on your vehicle then be sure to give us a call or stop on by our service center at Michael Tom’s Vigo Dodge, Inc. of Terre Haute today!
